Dearly Beloved.

I was given the opportunity by close family friends to take the photos at their wedding. The occasion took place in Talare, CA. The majority of the photos were taken before the ceremony at a beautiful victorian mansion that was a neighboring home to the bride's grandmother. It was completely filled with the most incredible antique decor, and the outdoor gardens that encompassed the house complimented the photos beautifully. It really meant a lot to me to be part of the heart-warming event, and I'm very thankful that I was.

Here are some of my personal favorites:

I loved her grandmother's photos in the background.

The first time that her father saw her in her dress.

The groom, coming to see the bride for the first time
in the house where she was getting ready.

The look on the groom's face when
she was walking down the isle.

Autumn's Got My Heart

I seem to adore each approaching season more than the last. So after a seemingly long summer in SoCal, the coming of Fall is refreshing and rejuvenating. Some of my favorite seasonal delights are:

Warm holiday colors that God placed in nature,
like with these wild berries.

The occasional rain storm that envelopes everything in it.
One of my favorite things to do when it rains it to watch
the wetness on the windows. I love rain for its refreshment,
its hope for being washed clean and renewed.

Lace-up boots. Can't live without 'em.
They keep me cozy in all kinds of
unpredictable San Diego weather.

I love warming lights, but this is by far my favorite lamp.
Hannah and I love when it's dark out and we only have this lit.
It's golden glow fills our room with warmth.
Feels a bit more "homey" than florescent dorm light fixtures.

Holiday baking with my sister.
We made a batch of gingerbread cupcakes
with cream cheese frosting from scratch
The best was talking about our dream of opening
a little tea house and bakery someday.
The tiny gingerbread men decorations added some spunk.
